Di SMP, materi ini penting karena melatih siswa mengamati ciri-ciri objek lalu menuangkannya ke dalam bahasa Inggris yang sederhana dan tepat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"apa-itu-descriptive-text\">Apa itu descriptive text?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Descriptive text menjelaskan \u201cseperti apa\u201d suatu objek, bukan \u201capa yang terjadi\u201d. Fokusnya ada pada ciri fisik, sifat, bagian-bagian, warna, ukuran, kebiasaan, atau kesan umum terhadap objek yang dibahas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Untuk siswa, teks ini biasanya terasa lebih mudah karena topiknya dekat dengan kehidupan sehari-hari, seperti my school, my cat, my best friend, atau Borobudur Temple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tujuan-teks\">Tujuan teks<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tujuan utama descriptive text adalah memberi gambaran yang jelas kepada pembaca agar mereka bisa membayangkan objek yang sedang dijelaskan. My cat is calm, friendly, and very loved by my family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Contoh seperti ini sudah menunjukkan identification dan description, serta memakai simple present tense dan adjectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"catatan-untuk-guru\">Catatan untuk guru<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Untuk guru, descriptive text efektif diajarkan lewat langkah sederhana: observasi objek, kumpulkan kata sifat, susun identification, lalu buat description.
